Defeat

Comments: The song "Defeat" was written in October 2006, and I think the rather desperate name speaks for itself. I was inspired and came up with the idea when I spent one morning on a shore, in a total gale, weather was truly storming yet I wanted to be alone so I stayed sitting there... until I catched cold!

I walked along the shore today,
While rain washed the shine off my soul.
Soul that's now hanged above the sea
Ready to drop down and sink, once and for all.

I want to open up my heart to you -
A deep dark hole, like a snakes pit,
With hundreds of daemons screaming at you
Admitting their defeat.

So hungry for warmth, and sated with lies,
How elusive could a forsaken soul be!
I fall on my knees and beg to take me back,
I know you want it, just like me...
